Genre: Ficlet. As in, pretty short. Rating: PG-13, so Robin can read it too. Dedicated to: My fics are nothing without the wonderfulness of these amazing women, who I'm proud to call friends. Soar38 and Alldoubtaboutit with the beta and Cream_and_sugar with the banner. Disclaimer: Just like Socrates, I know that I don't know. But unlike him, I get delusional. ;) What Orlando really liked about Robin, was that from time to time, even if not too often, she would get where he was coming from. But even when she didn't, she would still go all the way for him. True, she had her own interests, which dictated the career moves she thought were the best for him, and for the most part, he humored her and let her think it was what motivated him as well. "You can't come out now," she said and he nodded in reply. She talked about how close-minded today's society was, she reminded him there were many examples of people who paid with their careers for their honesty, she stressed that he could come out later, when he was well established and appreciated for his acting skills as well as for his good looks. She pointed out that the movies he had to make were the ones with a high exposure factor, which could land him meatier parts further down the road. He agreed with everything she said with a tired nod of his head, his chin nearly touching his chest, feeling as though he had to gather a lot of strength to look up at her again. It was only once in a while that he said something, perhaps a hesitant word or two about the precious things in life and how the limelight could break them down. He didn't want to say too much to her, though, He didn't want to have to spell it out, because there was a limit to how much he trusted her. After all, maybe there was no need to say anything explicitly. There was little chance that she hadn't guessed he was doing all this for his and Viggo's sake, for fear of what publicity strains might do to their relationship. And what Orlando liked most about her, was that once in a while, he thought he saw her smile to herself over that thought, while making the arrangements that would keep them hidden together from anyone else's eyes.
